smoking

well well well

It has been sometime since I have posted anything! Lots of stuff going on in my life these days! I'll post a few more here in a bit, but here is the smoking update... Its a mixed message.

Update

Well its been a few days, and I havent posted anything. I am going to need to post about other stuff or something.

Cravings

Are back!! Wooo Hoooooo! Man how I love the feeling of wanting to bash my head into a wall so I can replace that tingly feeling nicotine gives ya!

Travels and travails

So I made my way on up to Virginia this past Monday for work. I got about half way up there and gave up the ghost. Driving all that time, all the coffee, etc... I knew it was going to be rough. So I just gave up giving up while at the TIM. (That would be my Technical Interchange Meeting.) Today however is a new day with new beginings. So I am back to giving up again! And now I am going to get to work on eCatholics. Y'all have a good night now! ~j

Sunday Mornings

Ah.... Sunday mornings... I love Sunday mornings. By the time the afternoon comes around I start thinking about Monday mornings and then the rest of my Sunday is shot. But I do love Sunday mornings!

Day Four

And I am doing well! It is SOOOOOOO boring when I am not loosing my marbles! So its been quiet on this bliary. But I have gotten a note or two to report in! or out I guess... hmmm not sure which way that goes. Anyway... So far so good! And since I am not feeling all so creative tonight, we'll just have to let that be that!

Day One

And we're off! Cigarettes that is! So here is the real mind bender to all this quiting stuff. I do not smoke this early in the morning. In fact I usually wait till after my kids are in bed at night before I'll "go burn one." I also go a couple of days here and there without a craving. But here I am... Day one... bright and early in the morning. And now that I know I am quitting... I want one. *sigh* Its the whole coveting thing I guess. You want what you cant have.

Giving up

The time has just about arrived for me to take the leap and drop this crutch I picked up a few years ago. Its time to quit smoking. There have been many things that have led me to this point a bunch of which I will discuss at some point I'll bet, but for now I just wanted to start a little self-therapy for myself. I have been winding down on smoking the last week or so in preparation. I intend to just quit. No patches, gum, candy, etc. All you are doing with those things is substituting one source of nicotine for another. The last time I quit was about 10 years ago.
